Comment: I hung up my boots in 2003. In 2007, the indestructible Pete Mulhearn inspired my middle-aged return to MRFC mens rugby action. I got to know and play alongside a much younger generation of well trained UMRFC alumni including Karl Seibert, Aaron “Tex” Dodd, Matt “Cass Tech” Forsyth, Ted Pixley, “Dirty Mike” Przybylek, Chuck Berklich, Naveen Aravapalli, Davey Hamilton, and others. I played until I limped off the field for good with severe hip osteoarthritis. (I have since had both hips replaced.) I’m grateful that I decided to recommit. It was hilarious good fun. My heart is with MRFC Mens Side. Rugby Players, I salute you!
